Make your Android smartphone secure in few simple steps!

The predicament of using an Android smartphone is its lackluster security. Or so people think it is. By people I mean an average Android user. Though this hasn't stopped Android from growing, it has definitely plagued the platform, like forever.
As an Android power user I know how untrue that horror is. The horror that is instilled in the hearts of Android users by Android naysayers and specially by the companies making Antivirus software.
Let me assure you this, your Android is as secure as you want it to be. And in few simple steps you can make sure of that. Google has implemented multiple layers of security to Android, making sure that its impregnable, all you need to do is follow its lead.

Verify Apps!
The first step is to make sure that you download apps only from the Play Store. Apps on the play Store are whetted and secure so there is no chance of any malware. In case you are in a habit of side loading of apps, Google have you covered there as well. All you need to do is to open Google settings app, then open up the verify apps, tick the check box and you are done. Side load as many apps as you want and leave the rest to Google.
Next time you will side load an app Google will first run it on its servers and then install it on your phone. In case anything is wrong with the app, you will be notified.
So that was internal security, what about the external security of your phone, what if it gets stolen, than what??? Well,  worry not my friends, Google has plans for that as well.

Android Device Manager!
Google released this service last year. To use it go to Google settings app and this time go to 'Android Devices Manager', tick the check-boxes saying,  'remotely locate this device' and 'allow remote lock and erase'. You can then locate your phone from Android Device Manager and ring it if you think you have lost it in your home. In case you think its stolen you can lock your device as well as erase its data.
You can also download Android Device Manager app from the Play Store and keep track of multiple devices from there.

So there you have it people, few simple steps that will make your Android phone super secure, both against the malware and thieves, so have your peace of mind, sit back and relax because Google is looking out or you. It is continuously adding new features to Android making it secure at all levels!! I have already explained that in my previous post, take a look at it here, Android is going to be more secure!
If you are still not convinced and need more security for your phone, you can always download an antivirus software, there are so many to choose from.
